A renowned South Indian playback singer Sangeetha Sajith passed away at the age of 46. She sang over 200 songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
A renowned South Indian playback singer Sangeetha Sajith passed away on sunday morning at her sister’s residence in Thiruvananthapuram. As per reports, she was undergoing treatment for some kidney-related ailments for the last few months. She was just 46.
Her funeral took place on sunday evening at the Saanthi Kavadam cremation in Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram. She is survived by her daughter Aparna.
Sangeetha Sajith sang over 200 songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Her song ‘Thannerai Kathalikkuma’ in the Tamil movie ‘Mr Romeo’ composed by AR Rahman was a big hit.

Thalam Poyi Thappum Poyi, Alare Govinda and Dhum Dhum Dooreyetho are some of her notable hits.
Sajith’s last work was the theme song in Prithviraj starrer Malayalam movie ‘Kuruthi’.
Playback singer KS Chithra expressed condolences on her death. “Heartfelt condolences on the passing away of the noted singer Sangeetha Sajith. May her soul rest in peace and may God strengthen the family to over come this loss,” KS Chithra tweeted.
