Popular punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala shot dead at Jawaharke village of Mansa district on sunday (May 29). He was rushed to civil hospital in Mansa where he was declared dead. As per reports, two others are also injured in this incident. More than 30 rounds were fired in this incident.
Sidhu Moosewala’s security was withdrawn just a day before this incident. Moosewala was contested in the recent Punjab assembly elections on the Congress ticket from Mansa but he was defeated by AAP’s Vijay Singla by a huge margin of 63,000 votes.
Sidhu Moosewala had a huge fan following. He gained his popularity in a very short period. He made his debut in singing with a song ‘So High’. Recently, he also appeared in the movie ‘I am a Student’.

Singers, politicians, actors, cricketers and other celebrities are shocked by hearing this news. Condolences have been poured in by them on social media.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that nobody involved will be spared. “I am Shocked and Deeply saddened by the gruesome murder of Siddhu Moosewala. Nobody involved will be spared. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal everyone to stay calm,” Bhagwant Mann tweeted.
“Heartbreaking that Sidhu Mossewala Ji’s security was revoked just 2 days ago as a publicity stunt by insensitive & inexperienced @AamAadmiParty regime. The state’s of law and order is appalling. CM & DGP have blood on their hands. RIP Shubhdeep Moosewala,” Punjab Congress tweeted.
“Satnam shri waheguru very shocking n very sad, a great artist n a wonderful human being, may god give the strengths to his family,” Comedian Kapil Sharma wrote.
“I only knew #SidhuMoosewala through his music, yet the news of his demise has cut deep. India has very few authentic modern artists. He was right on top of that list. I’m without words. He’s a legend, his voice, his courage & his words will never be forgotten. What a sad day!,” Vishal Dadlani tweeted.
