Pakistan trampled India by 10 wickets in the Dubai International Stadium on October 24. Pakistan’s youngster Shaheen Afridi remained hero of the match. He dismissed top 3 players of India Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. India made total 151/7 score in 20 overs with the help of Virat Kohli’s half-century. Pakistan achieved this target just in 17.5 overs without loss of any wicket.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. India was very confident as it had beaten England and Australia in the warm-up matches but this match not remained good for India. Pakistan was dominant in the whole match.
Virat Kohli led India’s start was not very good. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma came as an opener. In the first over only, Shaheen Afridi of Pakistan sent Rohit Sharma to pavilion at duck. Then again in the third over, Shaheen Afridi bowled KL Rahul. After KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav was on crease. Suryakumar played some great shots but he couldn’t sustain anymore. He became the victim of Hasan Ali’s bowling, Mohammad Rizwan took his catch.
India’s innings turned poor at 31/3 after 5.4 overs. Now, Rishabh Pant came on the crease and Captain Virat Kohli was playing his game on the other end. Both the players made good partnership and handle some pressure of India. They made the partnership of 53 runs for the fourth wicket. In the 13th over, Shadab Khan got the catch of Rishabh (39) on his own bowling.
Ravindra Jadeja also couldn’t do very good but on the other end, Virat Kohli was playing very good cricket. He hit half century and made total 57 runs in 49 balls. Shaheen Afridi also took the wicket of Virat Kohli.
Shaheen Afridi dismissed the top three players of India Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Hardik Pandya also make 11 runs with the help of 2 fours. With the help of Virat Kohli’s half-century, India reached at the score of 151/7 in 20 overs.
Pakistan did a very good start. Its openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan played very good cricket. Both took the game of Pakistan at another level. Mohammad Rizwan made 79 runs in 55 balls and Babar Azam made 68 runs in 52 balls which led Pakistan to win. It is the record breaking and historic win for Pakistan.
