This day had been started by Dr. Madan kataria who is the founder of worldwide laughter yoga movement in part by the facial feedback hypothesis, which postulates the facial expressions can have an impact on emotions. World laughter day spreads awareness about laughter and its healing effects.

At this time, world laughter day has great importance because whole world is battling against covid-19. Everyone is tensed about this pandemic. Laughter can heal this tension by controlling cortisol in the brain which is a stress hormone. Laughter is the medicine of many problems.

Laughter day brings closer to the world and spreads warmth. Laughter has no any expense. Doctor prescribes laughter along with the medicine for the fast recovery of patient. It also helps in increasing blood in the human body.
