| Two times olympic medallist Sushil kumar has been arrested by delhi police |
Two times olympic medallist Sushil kumar and his associate Ajay kumar has been arrested by delhi police on morning from Mundka in delhi. Delhi police was finding him from 20 days. There are allegations against him that he was involved in the death of 23 year old wrestler.
Delhi police said that he was allegedly involved in the brawl which had taken place in the Chhatrasal stadium of delhi on may 4. Since then, police had been finding him in delhi and other neighbouring states. It is said that he is the main accused in the brawl in which three wrestlers were brutally assaulted. 23 year old wrestler Sagar Rana had died because of his injuries and his two friends are in hospitalisation.
The special cell of delhi police led by Inspector Shivkumar, Inspector Karambir and supervised by ACP Attar Singh has arrested Sushil kumar and Ajay kumar from Mundka area of delhi in connection with the killing of Sagar Rana, Deputy Commissioner of Police P Kushwaha said.
Delhi police had announced Rs. 1,00,000 reward who will give information about the Sushil kumar.
There was also Rs. 50,000 award on Sushil kumar’s associate Ajay kumar.
On may 18, Sushil kumar was reached to Rohini court and was demanding protection from the arrest. The court, however dismissed his anticipatory bail plea by saying that the allegations against him were very serious in nature. Non-bailable warrants were issued against him and six others.
Now, he would have appeared in Rohini court. Delhi police is demanding 10 days remand of Sushil kumar and co-accused Ajay kumar.
Sushil kumar is two times olympic medal winner. He has won bronze medal in 2008 Beijing olympics and silver medal in 2012 London olympics.
