Three earthquakes of magnitude 4.4, 3.1 and 3.4 on the Richter scale, struck Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur within a span of 30 minutes. National Center for Seismology shared information about the magnitudes of earthquake.
Three earthquakes of magnitude 4.4, 3.1 and 3.4 on the Richter scale, struck Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur at early morning on July 21, 2023. After feeling tremors, residents of Jaipur got panic and rushed out of their houses. However, no casualty and loss of property have been reported.
National Center for Seismology gave information about the earthquakes and their magnitude.
Three earthquakes occurred in Jaipur within a span of 30 minutes. Roughly, the earthquakes were 9 km away from Jaipur and 10 km in depth.

Three earthquakes in Jaipur
The first earthquake, measuring 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred at 4:09 am.
The second earthquake, of 3.1 magnitude struck Jaipur at 4:22 am.
The third earthquake, measuring 3.4 magnitude, occurred at 4:25 am, National Center for Seismology said.
Many residents of Jaipur shared video clips of earthquake on social media. Jahnvi Sharma shared a CCTV footage and wrote, “What a scary day to witness such high magnitude #earthquake in #Jaipur. Please be safe!”
One more resident Ajish Nair shared a video clip. “#earthquake tremors felt in Jaipur this morning caught on our camera!,” he wrote.
Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje also shared the news of earthquake. She tweeted, “Earthquake tremors have been felt at other places in the state including Jaipur. I hope you all are safe!”
