Supermodel Gigi Hadid arrested for possessing marijuana and using utensils for consumption of marijuana. The 28-year-old star visited UK’s Cayman Islands from the US via a private jet. Her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy was with her during the arrest.
Both were arrested after their luggage was scanned by officials upon arrival at the airport on July 10, 2023. Then, their luggage was thoroughly checked and marijuana and untensils used for consumption of marijuana was recovered from them.

Then, they transported to Prisoner Detention Center. Both the women pleaded guilty after appearing in court on July 12. They were fined $1,000 and managed to avoid a recorded conviction.
After following the legal procedure, they were released on bail.
“Gigi was traveling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license,” Gigi Hadid’s representative said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.”
