The Union budget 2022-2023 will be presented by Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 11 am on February 1, 2022. Budget will be presented in paperless form just like the last year.
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the Union Budget 2022 in the Parliament. She will begin her speech on February 1, 2022 at 11 am. This will be her fourth budget as finance minister while it will be the tenth budget of the Narendra Modi government including interim budget which was presented in 2019.
In 2020, Sitharaman delivered two hours and forty minutes long speech which was longest ever speech made in India. In 2021, she wrapped up her 10,500 words speech in one hour and forty minutes.
The Union budget 2022 will be presented in paperless form just like the last year. First time, paperless budget was presented last year. Nirmala Sitharaman took tablet instead of old ‘Bahi-Khata’ to present the budget in 2021.
The annual budget shows the expenditures and revenues of the government. Besides this, several government schemes are also introduced in the budget. So, people eagerly wait for the Union budget.
The Union Budget mobile app has also been launched last year by the government so that budget would be easily accessible to ministers and the general public.
