An 18 year old boy opened fire on children at Elementary school Texas on tuesday (May 24). Atleast 19 children and two adults were killed during the fire. Several injuries have also been witnessed. Reportedly, a gunman was shot down by a policeman. This is one of the deadliest incidents in the history of Texas.
Robb Elementary School, Texas has an enrollment of under 600 children. The incident happened in the school just a week before the summer vacations. Parents and relatives of children rushed to school after hearing this incident. Law enforcement reached to the school and diverted traffic from the place.
Reportedly, a 66-year old woman and a 10-year old girl are in critical condition who were admitted in the University Hospital in San Antonio.
As per reports, gunman killed his grandmother before heading to Robb Elementary School. The gunman was identified as Salvador Ramos by Uvalde police.
Texas shooting is the second shocking incident after 10 days of a deadly racist rampage at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York which killed 10 persons.
Uvalde is 75 miles (120 kilometres) from the border of Mexico and it is the home to about 16,000 people.

An anguished and angry Joe Biden addressed the nation after this deadliest incident. “We have to act,” he said. “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby. Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen?,” Biden further said.
