Tokyo Olympics 2020:- Lovlina Borgohain wins bronze medal in boxing and Ravi Kumar Dahiya entered in 57 kg freestyle wrestling final

 Lovlina becomes the third boxer who wins medal for India in boxing. Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya has assured one more medal for India. He wins the semi-final match against Kazakhastan’s Nurislam Sanayev “by fall.”

Tokyo Olympics 2020:- Lovlina Borgohain, the boxer of India wins bronze medal for India in women’s 69 kg welterweight boxing. This is India’s third medal. This was the debut olympics of Lovlina and in debut match, she wins the bronze medal for India. She lost in semi-final but she has won the hearts of Indians.

In the 69 kg welterweight boxing semifinal, she lost from Turkey’s Bulsenaz Surmuneli by 0-5. Surmuneli is the world champion Turkish boxer. Despite, Lovlina played very well against her. She has to face two times 8 seconds standing from referee in 1st and 3rd round. World champion Surmuneli was looking dominant in the ring.

In the quarterfinal bout, Lovlina Borgohain had defeated Chinese taipei’s Chin Nien-Chin by 4-1. With this win, she had assured the medal for India but in the semi-final she couldn’t change the colour of the medal. She would has to satisfied with the bronze medal.

She becomes the third boxer who wins medal for India in boxing. Before her, Vijender Singh has won the bronze medal in 2008 Beijing Olympics and Mary Kom has won bronze medal in 2012 London Olympics in boxing. Lovlina is the second girl after Mary Kom who wins medal for India in boxing.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya of India enters in men’s freestyle 57 kg wrestling final

Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya has assured one more medal for India. He wins the semi-final match against Kazakhastan’s Nurislam Sanayev “by fall.” Now, he will fight for the gold medal match. It means silver medal is assured for him.
Initially, In the men’s freestyle wrestling semifinal, Nurislam was leading by 9-2 but in last minute, Ravi Kumar Dahiya changed the whole wrestling match by pinning down his opponent on the mat and He won the semifinal wrestling match “by fall.”
On the other hand, Deepak Punia couldn’t secure his place in the finals as he lost from an experienced U.S. wrestler. David Taylor, the U.S. wrestler won this match by technical superiority. He got 10 points and Punia couldn’t score even one point.
