Every year September 25 is observed as World Pharmacists Day across the globe. This day marks the importance of Pharmacists who play a key role in improving the world health.
International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) had established this day. FIP is a non-governmental organisation with its head office in Netherlands. This organisation represents over four million pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and pharmaceutical educators.

International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has decided the theme of World Pharmacists Day 2024 – “Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs.” Pharmacists are an integral members of healthcare systems, who play an important role in meeting health needs. They ensure access to essential medicines and their proper use.
World Pharmacists Day 2024:- History
World Pharmacists Day was started in 2009 by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Council meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. Date September 25 was chosen for this day because the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) was established on the same date in 1912.
