Reports of the outage surged, with Downdetector noting over 2,500 user complaints, primarily concerning the website, while a smaller percentage pertained to the mobile app.

This disruption coincided with the Tatkal ticket booking window, which opens at 10:00 AM for AC classes and 11:00 AM for non-AC classes, causing significant inconvenience to passengers seeking last-minute reservations. Many users expressed their frustration on social media platforms, highlighting the impact on their travel plans.

In response to the outage, IRCTC advised passengers needing to cancel or reschedule their tickets to contact customer care or email their ticket details for a Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR). The provided contact details are:
