In a distressing incident, actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg on October 1, 2024. The incident happened at around 4:45 AM as he was preparing to leave his home for an event in Kolkata. Immediately after the accident, Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. His family, including his daughter Tina Ahuja, shared that he underwent surgery to remove the bullet, and the operation was successful. While Govinda remains in the ICU for close monitoring, his condition is stable and he is expected to recover soon.
Tina provided reassurance, saying, “Papa’s health is much better than before,” and the doctors have been continuously monitoring him.
Govinda’s manager confirmed that the actor lost a significant amount of blood due to the injury, which required immediate medical attention. Despite the severity of the incident, there is no immediate cause for concern regarding his recovery.
This event has drawn significant media attention, especially given Govinda’s long-standing fame as a Bollywood actor known for his iconic comedic roles and vibrant dance performances in the 1990s.
