Bollywood actress Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, tragically died by suicide this morning, as confirmed by Mumbai police. Anil Arora reportedly jumped from his apartment building in Bandra, Mumbai. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. today.

Her former husband, Arbaaz Khan, along with senior police officials, arrived at her residence soon after the news broke. Anil Arora’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and authorities have begun an investigation into the matter, police said.
Malaika Arora, who was born in Thane, Maharashtra, experienced her parents’ divorce when she was just 11 years old. After the separation, she moved to Chembur with her mother, Joyce Polycarp, and her sister, Amrita Arora. Joyce is a Malayali Christian, while her late father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi who served in the Indian Merchant Navy.
In a recent interview with a fashion magazine, Malaika shared how her parents’ divorce impacted her at a young age. While describing her childhood as “wonderful,” she admitted it was not without its challenges, calling the period “tumultuous,” according to a report by IANS. “My parents’ separation allowed me to see my mother in a new light,” Malaika had reflected during the interview.
