Mohsin Khan, widely recognized for his role as Kartik Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently revealed some startling details about his health struggles. The popular actor disclosed that he was diagnosed with fatty liver and suffered a mild heart attack in 2023.
This news came as a surprise to many of his fans, who have admired the 32-year-old’s career and were taken aback by his candidness about his health challenges.

Mohsin Khan’s Health Battle in 2023
Khan shared that although he has recovered, his immune system has been compromised, making him more susceptible to frequent infections. In an interview with Pinkvilla, he admitted, “I was diagnosed with fatty liver, and last year, I suffered a mild heart attack. I did not share it with people.”
He continued, “It had gotten quite severe. I had to undergo proper treatment, and I changed 2-3 hospitals before finally recuperating and getting my health back on track. Now it is under control, mashallah.”
Khan attributed his health issues to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, emphasizing that it can develop due to inconsistent sleep patterns and unhealthy eating habits. He warned that the condition is more common than people might think, urging others to take precautions.
In addition to discussing his health, Mohsin reflected on a memorable experience while shooting for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, when Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited the set. “We were so nervous when Shah Rukh Khan arrived, and we were shooting. Nobody even mentioned rehearsing the scene, and everyone stood quietly. Then, he asked if script reading happens here, and we said it does. So we sat down and read the scene,” Mohsin recounted.

Mohsin Khan‘s on-screen chemistry with Shivangi Joshi, who played Naira, captivated audiences, making him a household name. His portrayal of Kartik in the series left a lasting impression, and even though he exited the show in 2021, he is still fondly remembered by fans. His acting prowess was further showcased in his role in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins.
