Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced her divorce from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, through an Instagram post.
This announcement came shortly after the birth of their first child, just over two months ago.

“Dear Husband,” the Dubai princess wrote. “As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”
Shaikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana were married in May last year, and they welcomed their daughter twelve months later.
Shaikha Mahra had shared her joy about becoming a mother, calling it her “most memorable experience.”
She had expressed gratitude to her medical team and hospital staff for their excellent care during childbirth. Photos showed Sheikh Mana lovingly holding their newborn daughter. During the birth, Sheikh Mana was seen by Shaikha Mahra’s side as their newborn rested on her chest.
Sheikha Mahra had shared, and later deleted, photos of Sheikh Mana cradling their daughter. The couple had also celebrated with a gender reveal party in February.

A few weeks ago, the Dubai princess posted a cryptic message on Instagram, cuddling with her baby, writing, “Just the two of us.” This might have hinted at underlying issues in their relationship.
Shaikha Mahra is the daughter of the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai. Known for advocating women’s empowerment and supporting local UAE designers, she holds a degree in International Relations from a UK university and studied at the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration College.
Sheikha Mahra is one of the 26 children of the Dubai ruler. She has Greek and Emirati roots, as her mother, Zoe Grigorakos, is from Greece. The Dubai ruler divorced Zoe Grigorakos.

The news caused a stir on Instagram, with many noting that the couple unfollowed each other and deleted photos of each other from their profiles.
Some speculated that they had blocked each other, while others wondered if Sheikha Mahra’s account had been hacked. “Bad news. God bless you,” one user commented. Another wrote, “I am proud. Your decision.”
