At a midnight press conference, FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek stated that the identity and motive of the shooter remain unknown. The attack occurred six minutes into Trump’s speech in western Pennsylvania, creating a scene of chaos as gunfire erupted. Trump, bleeding from his right ear, was quickly shielded and evacuated by Secret Service agents.

Despite the injury, Trump reassured supporters on Truth Social, stating that a bullet had grazed the top of his ear, and expressed gratitude to law enforcement while extending condolences to the victims’ families.

Law enforcement, including the FBI and Secret Service, are investigating the incident, treating the rally site as an active crime scene. The suspected shooter, identified as a Pennsylvania male, is being verified through DNA analysis.

Reactions from political leaders were swift. President Joe Biden condemned the violence, calling for unity and expressing relief at Trump’s safety. Vice President Kamala Harris, alongside other politicians, echoed these sentiments, condemning the violence and praying for all those affected.
