Tamil actor Daniel Balaji dies of cardiac arrest at the age of 48. He began his career as a unit production manager in Kamal Haasan’s project ‘Marudhunayagam’.
Tamil actor Daniel Balaji passed away from a heart attack at the age of 48 on Friday night, leaving fans, family, and colleagues of the Tamil film industry in shock.
Reportedly, Balaji complained of chest pain on Thursday and was promptly taken to a hospital in Chennai’s Kottivakam. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he could not be saved.
His body has been taken to his residence in Purasaiwalkam for final rites.

Balaji began his career as a unit production manager in Kamal Haasan’s project ‘Marudhunayagam’. He ventured into television, gaining recognition for his role in ‘Chithhi’, where he portrayed the character Daniel, which became his screen name.
Known for his villainous roles, Daniel Balaji left a mark with performances in ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and ‘Vettaiyadu Vilayadu’.
His filmography includes notable appearances in movies such as ‘Yennai Arindhaal’, ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’, ‘Bairavaa’, ‘Vada Chennai’, and ‘Bigil’, among others.
