Richard M. Cohen, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and husband of Meredith Vieira, passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 76. Cohen had been living with multiple sclerosis (MS) for over 50 years and had survived two cancer diagnoses.

He is survived by his wife, Meredith Vieira, and their three children: Benjamin, Gabriel, and Lily. The family was reportedly by his side at the time of his passing.
