Bumrah, who has a history of back issues, left the field after bowling just one over in the second session and was taken to a nearby hospital for scans.
Teammate Prasidh Krishna confirmed the back spasm, stating, “Jasprit Bumrah has a back spasm. The medical team is monitoring him… so let’s see.”
Bumrah’s absence is significant, given his pivotal role in India’s bowling attack. He is the leading wicket-taker in the series, with 32 wickets at an average of 13.06.
India currently leads by 145 runs at the end of day two, with four wickets remaining in their second innings. Bumrah‘s availability for the remainder of the match remains uncertain, and his condition is being closely monitored by the medical team.
