The fight, sanctioned by Texas regulators, featured 2-minute rounds and 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves used in heavyweight boxing.
Initially scheduled for July 20, the match was postponed after Tyson suffered a health issue during a flight in May.
Despite his legendary career and achievements, including becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986, Tyson couldn’t outmatch Paul’s momentum. At 58, Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs) faced off against Paul (11-1, 7 KOs), a YouTuber-turned-boxer who debuted in 2020.
While Paul’s career began against MMA fighters, he overcame an earlier defeat to Tommy Fury in February 2023 and extended his winning streak with this victory.
