Vicky Kaushal is gearing up to portray yet another iconic figure from Indian history. The actor will take on the role of the legendary Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Sambhaji in an upcoming epic action-drama titled Chhaava.
The much-anticipated film is set to hit theaters soon, and the recently released teaser has already generated excitement, showcasing Vicky in the lead role.

Chhaava Teaser: Vicky Kaushal Transforms into the Maratha Lion
The Chhaava teaser opens with Vicky Kaushal’s voiceover, declaring, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is called a lion, and I am his son—the cub of a lion is called Chhaava.” The video captures him mounted on a horse, clad in warrior armor, charging into battle against a vast Mughal army. Despite being outnumbered, his character, Sambhaji, fiercely defends a fort with unmatched valor.
The teaser is a thrilling display of intense, adrenaline-pumping action, as the wounded and blood-soaked Sambhaji unleashes his wrath upon the enemy forces. The teaser concludes with a striking reveal of Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, ominously stating, “Shivaji is gone, but his thoughts and vision are still alive.”
The final shot features Vicky, adorned in royal Maratha regalia, seated on a throne, embodying the power and legacy of Sambhaji.

Bhumi Pednekar Praises Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava
Vicky Kaushal shared the teaser on Instagram, captioning it with, “Protector of Swarajya. Defender of Dharma. #Chhaava – An epic saga of a courageous warrior!” accompanied by sword emojis.
Bhumi Pednekar was quick to praise the teaser, commenting, “Is there anything you can’t do, @vickykaushal09?
