In a candid conversation with the media, Muneer named prominent figures in the Malayalam film industry, including Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Edavela Babu, who holds a significant position in the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA). While Mukesh, Jayasurya, and Babu have remained silent on these accusations, Raju expressed his willingness to cooperate with any investigation.
Muneer stated her intention to file a formal complaint with the state police, specifically the team investigating allegations that surfaced following the Hema Committee report. She recounted a disturbing incident during the filming of “Calendar” in 2009 and “Nadakame Ulakam” in 2011, where an actor allegedly attempted to assault her in a hotel room, pulling her onto a bed under the pretense that she needed to “consider those who need to be considered” for better opportunities. She also described another instance where an actor tried to visit her room during the night after making inappropriate advances during a car ride.
Additionally, Muneer shared an incident from 2008 during a shoot in the state capital, where an actor reportedly grabbed and kissed her as she exited a restroom. Although she managed to escape, she later received an invitation to his flat, which she declined.
Muneer further revealed that in 2013, when she applied for membership in AMMA, she was invited to an actor’s flat under the guise of assisting her with the application process. During the visit, she claimed, the actor kissed her on the neck, prompting her to flee. Despite meeting the criteria, she was denied membership in the organization.
