In the past month, the film’s team released a teaser showcasing Amitabh Bachchan’s character during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The 21-second clip featured Big B in a cave, swathed in warm earthy tones and bandages, praying to a Shiva linga.
A poignant moment in the teaser has a young boy questioning Big B’s character, “Are you God? Are you immortal? Who are you?” To which he responds, “Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar. I am Dronacharya’s son, Ashwatthama.” The teaser also included a brief appearance of a younger, AI-generated version of Amitabh Bachchan.
Additionally, last month saw the introduction of Bujji, a futuristic, life-sized car driven by Prabhas in the film. The actor made a grand entrance in this customized vehicle at an event attended by over 15,000 fans. Following this, an animated prequel series, “B&B: Buji & Bhairava,” was released on Prime Video India, offering fans an exciting preview of the “Kalki 2898 AD” universe.
