Television actor Gurucharan Singh (50), renowned for his cheerful portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the beloved series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has allegedly orchestrated his own disappearance and relocated from Delhi, according to sources cited by News18.
Singh has been missing since April 22 from the vicinity of Delhi Airport, leaving behind his phone in the Palam area, complicating the investigation, as per police sources.

“Based on CCTV footage, it appears he meticulously planned his departure from Delhi,” said police sources to News18, noting Singh’s movements between e-rickshaws.
Delhi police had previously stated that Singh was last spotted on April 22 near Delhi airport with a backpack, intending to fly to Mumbai but never arrived.
After four days, Singh’s father filed a missing person report, leading to an FIR under Section 365 (abduction) on April 27 by Delhi Police.
Despite ongoing efforts, Gurucharan Singh‘s phone has remained untraceable since his disappearance. On April 28, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, President of All Indian Cine Workers Association, urged Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena to hasten the investigation.

Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi, disclosed the formation of a probe team, stating, “We are reviewing CCTV footage where he is seen walking alone.”
In TMKOC, Singh endeared audiences with his portrayal of the jovial character Sodhi.
