Porsha Williams of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has initiated divorce proceedings against Simon Guobadia after 15 months of marriage.
Porsha Williams, a prominent figure on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has officially initiated divorce proceedings against Simon Guobadia, marking the end of their 15-month marriage. This legal move took place when Williams filed her petition in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, citing irretrievable brokenness and an absence of prospects for reconciliation as the reasons for seeking a divorce.
In her filing, Williams made it clear that she and Guobadia are currently living separately, emphasizing the genuine state of their separation. Additionally, she requested the court to uphold the prenuptial agreement they entered into on November 17, 2022, just a few days before their marriage on November 22, 2022.

As part of her divorce proceedings, Williams is also seeking the court’s intervention in ensuring that Guobadia is responsible for covering her reasonable attorney’s fees and expenses incurred during the divorce process.
The relationship between Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia became public in May 2021, when Williams confirmed their involvement through an Instagram post, describing it as a “beautiful” new relationship. Interestingly, Guobadia was the ex-husband of Williams’ fellow “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star, Falynn Pina. Williams clarified at the time that she had nothing to do with Guobadia’s divorce from Pina, as it was finalized before their own relationship began.
The couple’s engagement was officially announced by Guobadia on Instagram, where he expressed their mutual happiness and compatibility. Despite acknowledging the rapid pace of their relationship, Williams and Guobadia affirmed their commitment to living life to the fullest and focusing on positivity.
Porsha Williams, who initially joined “The Real Housewives” during its fifth season as the wife of former NFL player Kordell Stewart, divorced in 2013. She has a daughter named Pilar McKinley with her ex-husband, Dennis McKinley. Interestingly, Williams is set to make a return to “RHOA” after a two-year hiatus, as Bravo recently announced her comeback.
This news followed Kandi Burruss’ decision to leave the reality show after Season 15. Additionally, Williams previously starred in Season 3 of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” which was filmed in Thailand and aired last year.
