Fox, renowned for his iconic role in “Back to the Future,” received a poignant standing ovation at the British Academy Film Awards, where he, despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease, took center stage to present the prestigious award for the best film. The BAFTAs host, David Tennant, honored Fox as a “true legend of cinema,” setting the stage for a momentous recognition.

Since his diagnosis in 1991 at the age of 29, Fox has been an advocate for Parkinson’s awareness, openly sharing his struggles with mental health and the physical toll of the neurological disorder. In a candid interview with Variety, he reflected on the challenges, stating, “I recognize how hard this is for people, and I recognize how hard it is for me.”
