Renowned actor Mark Ruffalo joined the illustrious ranks of Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees in a ceremony held on Thursday.
Accompanied by his wife, Sunrise Coigney, and two of their children, Bella and Keen, Mark expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family in his acceptance speech, acknowledging the profound lessons learned through parenthood and the acting profession.
Jennifer Garner pays tribute
During the ceremony, close friend Jennifer Garner paid a tribute, highlighting their shared history in the 2004 romantic comedy 13 Going On 30. Garner playfully speculated on whether Mark’s iconic rom-com success could be attributed to his signature scruffy hair and untucked, cute button-down shirts, humorously suggesting their influence on cute guys’ fashion for the next two decades.
Garner fondly reminisced about Mark’s antics, including attempting to drop out of the Thriller dance rehearsal during their collaboration, showcasing his journey from initial shock to quiet resistance. Despite any challenges, she declared, “To work with you, Mark, is to love you, I don’t care what anyone says.”
Mark Ruffalo, now the 2,772nd individual to receive a star on Hollywood’s iconic thoroughfare, also received a tribute from director David Fincher, recognizing their collaboration in the 2007 crime drama Zodiac.
