Euphoria star Hunter Schafer found herself at the center of controversy when she was arrested, along with 32 others, during a pro-Palestine protest coinciding with the taping of Joe Biden’s appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The demonstration, organized by the Jewish Voice for Peace group, sought to raise awareness about Palestinian rights.

Photographs from the event captured Schafer donning a shirt advocating for an immediate ceasefire. In a Reuters image, she was seen being escorted out of 30 Rock by an NYPD officer, hands restrained behind her back. The NYPD reported a total of 30 individuals taken into custody, all of whom received summonses for trespass.
The protest not only led to arrests but also disrupted Biden’s appearance on Seth Meyers, where he fielded questions on a range of topics, including the Israel-Hamas war.
This incident followed a significant pro-Palestine push at the Michigan Democratic Primary, where thousands advocated for an “uncommitted vote” to convey a message to the POTUS regarding Gaza, resulting in an uncommitted share of the vote at 14.2% with 28% in.
Hunter Schafer, acclaimed for her portrayal of transgender teen Jules Vaughn in Euphoria, has garnered global fame and accolades for her performance. Her credits extend to The Hunger Games prequel and the horror film Cuckoo, where she starred alongside Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick.
