In a cinematic whirlwind, Prashanth Neel’s directorial masterpiece, ‘Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire,’ stormed the box office, etching its name in history. The film, boasting talents like Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan, emerged as the year’s biggest blockbuster, outshining ‘Animal,’ ‘Jawan,’ and ‘Pathaan’ in its sensational opening day collections.

‘SALAAR’ STORMS THE BOX OFFICE

After the lukewarm response to ‘Adipurush,’ Prabhas’ aficionados pinned their hopes on ‘Salaar.’ This high-octane action flick garnered immense praise from fans, raking in a staggering Rs 95 crore on its opening day, obliterating box office records.

The movie reaped its greatest harvest in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, amassing Rs 70 crore with an occupancy rate of 88.93% in Telugu territories. It also made a mark in Karnataka and Kerala, pocketing Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively, on its premiere.

As ‘Salaar’ continues its triumphant ascent, it stands as the reigning champ of 2023, surpassing ‘Pathaan,’ ‘Jawan,’ and ‘Animal’ in opening day collections. While ‘Pathaan’ secured Rs 57 crore on its debut, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Animal’ stood at Rs 75 crore and Rs 63 crore, respectively.

Salaar‘ unveils its narrative in two parts, the first titled ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ while the sequel bears the name ‘Shouryaanga Parvam.’

Prabhas embodies Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays Varadharaja Mannar, Jagapathi Babu embodies Rajamannar, and Shruti Haasan graces the screen as Aadya in this magnum opus.
