The evening commenced with the announcement of twenty semi-finalists, chosen after the preliminary competition’s results and a worldwide fan vote. Following the swimsuit round, the field narrowed down to 10, bidding farewell to Miss Nepal, the first “curvy” contestant to reach the semi-finals, and Miss Pakistan, who bravely chose a burkini as her swimsuit attire.
