Ranbir Kapoor allegedly promoted a subsidiary app linked to the Mahadev Book app promoters, receiving cash for his promotional activities.
Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and featuring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, has garnered significant attention with its look posters and teaser. However, Kapoor finds himself amidst controversy, having been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an online betting case.
The actor allegedly promoted a subsidiary app linked to the Mahadev Book app promoters, receiving cash for his promotional activities.
The Mahadev Book app, currently under investigation by multiple state police departments, reportedly funneled an astonishing Rs 112 crore through hawala channels to an event management firm. Digital evidence indicates that hotel bookings, amounting to a staggering Rs 42 crore, were settled in cash just last month.
Several Bollywood celebrities, including Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, Vishal Dadlani, Ali Asgar, Bhagyashree, Elli AvrRam, Bharti Singh, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Krushna Abhishek, and Sukhwinder Singh, are reportedly under investigation for their alleged involvement in the Mahadev online betting case. The Enforcement Directorate is also probing their attendance at the wedding and success party of Mahadev app promoter Sourabh Chandrakar in the UAE earlier this year.
