On the second day, the unstoppable blockbuster, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, continued its global dominance, surpassing the remarkable milestone of Rs 200 crore in worldwide box office collections.
Director Atlee’s film “Jawan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, shattered records with the biggest-ever opening in the history of Hindi cinema. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie continued its remarkable performance on its second day, raking in an impressive Rs 53 crore. This figure is strikingly close to the opening day earnings of SRK’s previous film, “Pathaan.”
“Pathaan” had previously held the record for the largest opening day in Hindi cinema until “Jawan” surpassed it by an impressive 20% on Thursday. The action-packed masala film achieved a staggering Rs 74 crore on its first day, surpassing “Pathaan’s” record of Rs 57 crore across all Indian languages.
With an estimated Rs 53 crore added on Friday, “Jawan” now boasts a two-day nett total of Rs 127 crore in India. Sacnilk suggests that approximately Rs 47 crore of this total was contributed by the Hindi-language release.

Ramesh Bala, another respected trade analyst, echoed this sentiment. Meanwhile, Box Office India reported even higher figures, stating that the film grossed Rs 230 crore globally and anticipated reaching around Rs 500 crore worldwide by the end of its opening weekend.
In the midst of Jawan’s success, Gadar 2 faced challenges as it sought to surpass the domestic box office milestone of Rs 510 crore. However, it still had a way to go to beat Pathaan’s all-time record of Rs 543 crore, unless Jawan managed to outpace them both.
