Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin hits his maiden half-century in the Indian Premier League. He made this half-century against Delhi Capitals. He is a bowler but he proved that he is a good batter as well. Rajasthan Royals sent him to no. 3 to bat and he smashed a half-century.
When the opener Jos Buttler was dismissed, Ravichandran Ashwin came in at no. 3 and made some partnerships with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal. Ashwin knocked fifty in 37 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes.
He reached his fifty in the 14th over and was dismissed almost immediately for 50 by Mitchell Marsh.
Ashwin surpassed his previous best 46 which he made for Punjab Kings in 2018. He has also many records with the bat in test cricket including 5 hundreds and 12 fifties at an average of 26.88.
Recently, Ravichandran Ashwin was also in headlines when he tactically retired out and allowed Riyan Parag to come in and bat.
