Shane Warne, Australia cricket legend, dies due to suspected heart attack aged 52

The legendary australian cricketer Shane Warne has died at the age of 52 due to suspected heart attack. He played 145 tests in his 15 years long career and took 708 wickets – the most ever for an Australian cricket and the second most of all time behind only Muttiah Muralitharan.

The legendary australian cricketer Shane Warne has died at the age of 52. He died due to suspected heart attack in Thailand, Fox news reported.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” Warne’s management released a brief statement.

“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,” statement added.

Shane Warne was one of the greatest leg-spinner. He played 145 tests in his 15 years long career and took 708 wickets – the most ever for an Australian cricket and the second most of all time behind only Muttiah Muralitharan.

He made his debut in 1992 and very soon he became one of the key player of Australian team. He was also the part of Australia’s Cricket World Cup winning team in 1999.

He played 194 ODI’s and took 293 wickets. Shane Warne was also named as one of Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Century.

Warne’s death is the second devastating news for Australian Cricket within 24 hours as the former wicket-keeper Rod Marsh also died on friday at the age of 74.

Shane Warne’s last tweet is just 12 hours old (7:23 AM) when he mourned on the death of Rod Marsh.

Cricket fraternity is shocked on the sudden demise of Shane Warne. Several cricketers paid tribute to the legendary Australian Cricketer.

“Shocked, stunned & miserable… Will miss you Warnie. There was never a dull moment with you around, on or off the field. Will always treasure our on field duels & off field banter. You always had a special place for India & Indians had a special place for you. Gone too young!,” Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.
