Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and actress-singer Shibani Dandekar tied the knot in Khandala on saturday. It was an intimate ceremony which was attended by only close family and friends. They have shared their first pics of the marriage on instagram.
Farhan Akhtar wore black Indo-Western attire for the marriage and Shibani Dandekar wore red gown with veil. Both are looking adorable in the pics.
Farhan Akhtar posted wedding pics and wrote in caption, “A few days ago, @shibanidandekar & I celebrated our union and we are deeply grateful to all those who did respect our need for privacy on the day. The celebration however, is incomplete without sharing some precious moments with you and seeking your blessings as we begin our journey across the skies of time, together. With love from us to you.”
Shibani Dandekar shared pics and wrote, “Mr & Mrs.” She also gave credit to all those who got her ready in this getup for the marriage.

Shibani Dandekar can be seen dancing with her father-in-law Javed Akhtar. Among the guests at the wedding were Shibani Dandekar’s sister Anusha Dandekar, actress Rhea Chakraborty, Amrita Arora, Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, singer Shankar Mahadevan, director Farah Khan, actor Hrithik Roshan among others.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar had made their relationship public in 2018. Farhan Akhtar was earlier married to Adhuna Bhabani to whom he has two daughters – Shakya and Akira. Farhan’s last project was Toofaan and he will also direct a film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
