PM Narendra Modi announced vaccination for 15-18 years and booster dose for corona warriors

During the address, PM announced that vaccination process for the children of 15 to 18 years will begin from January 3, 2022 onwards. Precaution dose (booster dose) will be given to healthline and frontline workers from January 10, 2022 onwards.

On the occassion of Christmas December 25, 2021 PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation and made many announcements amid rising cases of omicron variant of Covid-19. Prime minister chose the birthday of Jesus Christ to address the nation.

First of all, he wished everyone on Christmas and said that the new year 2022 is on the way and everyone getting ready and preparing for new year but during these preparations and celebrations, it should also be keep in mind that Corona is not over yet. 

Cases of omicron variant are rising but there is no need to be panic instead follow the Covid-19 protocols like wearing masks and regularly washing hands.

He said that India has achieved the target of 141 crore vaccination doses so far. This counting is very good compared to other countries. More than 61 percent adult population are fully vaccinated while almost 90% adult population has got first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. Tourism states like Goa, Uttarakhand and Himachal have completed the vaccination.

Prime minister also made important announcements. PM said that India has started Vaccination process from January 16, 2021. All the decisions during the vaccination have been taken after scientific consultation like how many vaccine doses required, how much time should be in between first and second dose, first vaccination for healthcare and frontline workers, persons with co-morbidities etc.

Now, one more decision has been taken about the vaccination of children between the age of 15 to 18. PM said that vaccination process for this age group will begin from January 3, 2022 onwards. The vaccination of school and college going children will protect them from Covid-19 and also reduce the tension of their parents.

After this, one more big announcement has been made by PM Modi that precaution dose (booster dose) will be given to healthline and frontline workers from January 10, 2022 onwards. Precaution dose will also be available for the people above 60 years with co-morbidities after their doctors permission.
