GATE 2022 Examination schedule:- IIT Kharagpur releases time table on gate.iitkgp.ac.in

GATE 2022 will begin from February 5, 2022 and end on February 13, 2022. It will be conducted in two sessions- forenoon and afternoon. It is a computer based test of 3 hours.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 examination schedule has been released by IIT Kharagpur. GATE 2022 will begin from February 5, 2022 and end on February 13, 2022. It will be conducted in two sessions- forenoon and afternoon. Full examination schedule can be checked on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in

GATE examination primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of the various undergraduate subjects of engineering and science for admissions into the masters courses and recruitment by some public sector companies.

Although GATE 2022 will start from february 5, 2022 but February 4 and February 11 is reserved for miscellaneous activities like scribes selection (if any), sanitisation and other activities (display posters, signboard, seating arrangements etc.) Candidates can also check their exam centre and seats during these days. GATE 2022 Examination Schedule 

GATE 2022 will be conducted on February 5 and February 6 and February 12 and February 13, 2022. There would be two sessions on each day- first session from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and second session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Admit card will be available for download on January 3, 2022.

GATE 2022 will be conducted for 29 papers. Each paper is for total 100 marks. General aptitude (GA) of 15 marks is common for all the papers and rest of the paper covers respective syllabus of 85 marks.

It will be a computer based test which will include three type of questions- MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions), MSQs (Multiple Select Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type). There will be negative marking in MCQs while in MSQs and NAT, there will be no negative marking.

On the official website of GATE 2022, it has also been written that the health and safety of the candidates is of utmost priority. Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, all dates may change. In rare cases, GATE 2022 examination may be postponed or cancelled due to situations beyond control. All the candidates are also advised to get vaccinated for Covid-19.
