The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 has been postponed due to alleged paper leak on the whatsapp group. The exam was scheduled to be held on November 28 at 10 am but it has been cancelled just before the exam.
Now, Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will announce the new date for the exam, which may be held next month. Near about 20 lakh candidates had applied for the exam.
Prashant Kumar (ADG), Law and Order informed that dozens of suspects were detained by Special Task Force in the paper leak case.
“UPTET 2021 examination scheduled to be held today stands cancelled due to alleged paper leak. Dozens of suspects were detained by STF in the paper leak case, the investigation is on. Uttar Pradesh government will conduct the exam again within a month”, he said.

Two papers were scheduled to be held on sunday. First paper was for primary school teachers from class 1 to 5. It was scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Second paper was scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm for higher primary school teachers from class 6 to 8.
Now, all the candidates will have to wait for some more days for the exam. Candidates need not to pay application fees again. The UPTET 2021 exam was scheduled to be conducted in several exam centres across 75 districts of the state.
