Australia won its first T20 World Cup by defeating New Zealand in the final. Australia won by 8 wickets (7 balls left) with the help of Mitchell Marsh (77* runs in 50 balls) and David Warner (53 runs in 38 balls). Australia won its maiden T20 World Cup. New Zealand has scored 172/4 in 20 overs. Australia scored 173/2 in 18.5 overs. Australia has won 5 ODI World Cup titles and now it has won the T20 World Cup too.
Earlier, Australia’s captain Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bowl first. Captain of New Zealand Kane Williamson scored 85 runs in 48 balls. With the help of Williamson’s innings, New Zealand made 172/4 in 20 overs. Australia was need to achieve the target of 173 in 20 overs to win. Josh Hazlewood dropped the catch of Williamson but he took 3 wickets in his spell by giving only 16 runs.
Glenn Maxwell finished the game by hitting boundary. All the australian players played very well in the final. Before the T20 World Cup, Australia’s T20 matches were not going good but in the final, Australia has proved that why it is the great team.

This year, there will be new T20 Champion. Australia and New Zealand were not the strong contenders of T20 World Cup despite they reached in the semi-final. Both the teams have many strong players.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell and James Neesham are in good form while Australia’s David Warner and Matthew Wade also played well in the semi-final against Pakistan.
