Atleast five relatives of Sushant Singh Rajput died in a car accident at Lakhisarai district in Bihar on tuesday morning. There were total 10 persons in a sumo (an SUV) who were returning to their home Jamui from Patna, where they went to attend the last rites of the relative, Geeta devi.
The accident took place at Sikandra-Sheikhpura National Highway- 333 near Pipra village under Halsi police station. When they were returning to their home, their car collided with a truck loaded with empty gas cylinders.
Total six persons including driver, died in this accident on the spot while four persons critically injured and they were rushed into the Jamui Sadar hospital. Five of the six deceased were the relatives of Sushant Singh Rajput.
The deceased have been identified as Laljit Singh and his two sons, Amit Shekhar alias Nemani Singh and Ram Chandra Singh, daughter Baby Devi, niece Anita Devi and driver Preetam Kumar.
Laljit Singh was the brother-in-law of Om Prakash Singh, a senior haryana police officer. Om Prakash Singh is the brother-in-law of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away on June 14, 2020.
Geeta Devi, on whose funeral the victim family had gone, was the sister of Om Prakash Singh. The police officials said that this was a massive collision between truck and a sumo (an SUV).
