India finished its T20 World Cup journey by winning its last match against Namibia

In the 42nd T20 World Cup match, India beat Namibia by 9 wickets (28 balls left). Ravindra Jadeja became the player of the match. He got 3 wickets and gave only 16 runs in his 4 overs.

On monday evening, India played its last T20 World Cup 2021 match against Namibia in Dubai International stadium. As India has already out from the semi-finals when New Zealand had won against Afghanistan. New Zealand has got 8 points by winning that match and India couldn’t get 8 points as it has left only one match. By winning this match, India got 6 points.

In the 42nd T20 World Cup match, India beat Namibia by 9 wickets (28 balls left). Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Indian bowlers showed their great skills against Namibia especially the spinners.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin got 3-3 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja became the player of the match. He got 3 wickets and gave only 16 runs in his 4 overs. He had also become the player of the match in the last match against Scotland. In that match, he also took 3 wickets.

Besides Ashwin and Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah also took 2 wickets while Mohammad Shami and Rahul Chahar couldn’t get any wicket. From Scotland’s batting, only David Wiese (26) and Stephan Baard (21) could score more than 20 runs while Jan Frylinck scored 15* runs. Scotland made total 132/8 runs in 20 overs.

India’s openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma gave good start to India and both the players hit half-century. Rohit Sharma made total 56 runs in 37 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. In this match, Rohit has completed his 3000 runs in the T20I. He becomes third player to complete 3000 runs in T20I after Virat Kohli (3227) and Martin Guptill (3115).

Caught by Zane Green, Jan Frylinck dismissed Rohit Sharma. After Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul hit half-century too. KL Rahul made 54* runs in 36 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Instead of Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav came on 3rd place for batting. He also showed some cameo by scoring 25 runs in 19 balls. India achieved the target 136/1 runs in just 15.2 overs.

As a T20 captain, this might be the last match of Virat Kohli. Before the beginning of T20 World Cup, Kohli had announced that he would step down as T20 captain after this World Cup. As an India’s coach, the tenure of Ravi Shastri is also finished after this match. Now, Rahul Dravid would be the new coach of team India.
