India vs Australia T20 World cup 2021 warm-up match:- India beat Australia by 8 wickets with the help of Rohit Sharma’s half century

India’s spinners and opening and middle batting order led India to win. Australia finished its game at 152/5 in 20 overs and India achieved the target 153/2 in 17.5 overs. India’s opener Rohit Sharma hit a half-century in the match.

On wednesday, India played its 2nd T20 World Cup 2021 warm-up match against Australia in the ICC Academy ground. India beat Australia by 8 wickets in this match with the help of Rohit Sharma’s half century.

Australia’s Innings

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Beginning of Australia was not very good as Ravichandran Ashwin took two consecutive wickets of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh in the second over. Then, Ravindra Jadeja sent David Warner to pavilion.

Steven Smith and Glenn Maxwell made a good partnership. Glenn Maxwell was playing well but Rahul Chahar bowled him with googly in the 12th over. Marcus Stoinis has shown some cameo and scored 41 runs in 25 balls not out.

Steven Smith (57 in 48 balls), Glenn Maxwell (37 in 28 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (41 in 25 balls) took Australia to 152/5 and spinners of the India also shown good balling skills which restricted Australia to this score. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja and Rahul Chahar took 1-1 wickets.

Now, India had to achieve the target of 153 in 20 overs. India’s opener KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma gave a good start to India. KL Rahul hit huge sixes against Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar. He again tried to hit six on the ball of Ashton Agar but David Warner took a great catch at the boundary. KL Rahul scored 37 runs in 31 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.

On the second end, Rohit Sharma was also enjoying his game and he scored 60 runs in 41 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. When India had the need of 26 runs in 30 balls, Rohit Sharma retired out and gave the opportunity to Hardik Pandya. The confidence of Suryakumar Yadav also boosted as he scored 36 runs in 27 balls with 5 fours and a six. Hardik Pandya finished the game by hitting a huge six and India achieved the target (153/2) in 17.5 overs and won by 8 wickets (13 balls left).

India’s spinners and opening and middle batting order led India to win. Rohit Sharma was the captain of India in this match. Virat Kohli tried his hand in the bowling. He did 2 overs in the match and gave 12 runs during these overs.

Earlier on monday, India had played its first T20 World Cup warm-up match against England and India also won that match by 7 wickets. Now, India will start its beginning in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on October 24, 2021. India vs Pakistan match is considered as the high-voltage match.
