India’s para shooter Avani Lekhara wins gold medal in women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. It is India’s first gold medal in the ongoing Tokyo paralympics.

China’s Cuiping Zhang won silver medal with the total score of 248.9 while Ukraine’s Iryna Shchetnik clinched bronze medal.
Avani Lekhara consistently scored more than 10 points and just two shots of her went below 10 points. In the qualification round, Avani was finished at seventh position with the total score of 621.7.

On Sunday, Bhavinaben Patel has also won silver medal in the table-tennis and she becomes first woman who won medal in the table-tennis. Before Avani and Bhavina, PCI Chief Deepa Malik was the only woman who was won medal in the paralympics.
Deepa had won silver medal at the Rio 2016 paralympics.
