Popular Haryanvi Singer Raju Punjabi dies aged 40; CM Manohar Lal Khattar paid tribute

On Tuesday, August 22nd, the Haryanvi vocalist Raju Punjabi passed away at a private hospital located in Hisar. Haryana’s Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, honored the singer’s memory by offering condolences on Twitter.

Haryanavi vocalist Raju Punjabi passes away at 40 in a Haryana hospital. According to the reports, he had been receiving treatment for jaundice after being admitted to a hospital in Hisar, Haryana.

According to the report, he was released from the hospital upon showing signs of improvement in his health. Nevertheless, his health took a turn for the worse, leading to his readmission. Singer KD Desi Rock posted an image of Raju in the hospital bed with a plea, “Raju wapas aaja (Raju, come back).”

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar condoled the death of Raju Punjabi

Following the widespread dissemination of the sorrowful news across social media platforms, Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, expressed his grief on Twitter. He conveyed that the passing of Raju Punjabi is an “unrecoverable setback” to Haryana’s music sector.

“Received the sad news of the demise of famous Haryanvi singer and music producer Raju Punjabi ji. His passing away is an irreparable loss to the Haryana Music Industry. May God give place to the departed soul at his holy feet and give strength to his family members to bear this immense sorrow. Om Shanti!,” Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted in hindi.

Just a few days prior, Raju had unveiled his final track titled “Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha.” His most recent Instagram post also revolved around this song, as he shared a video montage on August 20th, accompanied by the words, “Aapse Milke Yara Humko Achha Laga.”

Raju Punjabi was renowned for hits like “Aacha Lage Se,” “Desi Desi,” “Last Peg”, “Tu Cheez Lajawab,” and “Bhang Mere Yaara Ne,” among various others. He had also collaborated with Sapna Choudhary on a joint project.
