A 24-year-old woman from Mumbai has been arrested for sending a death threat to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
A recent death threat directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was sent through a text message to the Mumbai Police’s control room. This message demanded that Adityanath resign within ten days, warning of fatal consequences if he didn’t comply, comparing the threat to the recent shooting of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Police traced the message back to a 24-year-old woman in Mumbai, who was subsequently taken into custody. Initial reports suggest she may have personal or psychological challenges, and authorities are investigating further to determine the intent and any broader links involved.
Following this threat, security for Adityanath has been tightened, and Mumbai Police are collaborating with Uttar Pradesh officials to evaluate any ongoing risks.
This incident comes amid other recent threats received by the Mumbai Police, heightening vigilance around high-profile public figures.
