Veteran Marathi actor Vijay Kadam passed away at the age of 68 after a prolonged battle with cancer. His death news was confirmed by his close friend and fellow actor Jaywant Wadkar.
Veteran Marathi actor Vijay Kadam passed away on Saturday, August 10, at the age of 68 after a prolonged battle with cancer. The esteemed actor took his last breath at his residence in Mumbai.

Vijay Kadam’s death was confirmed by his close friend and fellow actor Jaywant Wadkar. “He fought cancer with immense courage. Although he initially showed signs of recovery, his health worsened over time. Just about 25 days ago, he suffered from a severe acidity attack,” Wadkar told ANI.
Wadkar expressed deep sorrow over Kadam’s passing, highlighting the actor’s remarkable talent and versatility. “He was extraordinarily gifted, seamlessly transitioning between Marathi cinema and Hindi films. His decades-long career was filled with diverse roles. The industry has lost an irreplaceable gem. To me, he was like family,” he added.
Vijay Kadam‘s cremation is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon at the Andheri-Oshiwara crematorium. He leaves behind his wife and son.
Kadam was widely celebrated for his powerful performances in popular plays such as ‘Turtur,’ ‘Vichha Mazi Puri Kara,’ and ‘Pappa Sanga Kunache.’ His work extended to several notable Marathi films, including ‘Irsal Kaarti’ and ‘De Danadan,’ which earned him a lasting legacy in the industry.
