The commencement of the 2024 Indian Premier League will be marked by CSK and RCB locking horns, igniting the fervor of fans nationwide. Despite RCB’s significant fan base, they face a daunting task in overshadowing the home support at Chepauk.
CSK announced ticket booking through their social media platforms, though some fans encountered challenges due to long queues.
Meanwhile, CSK initiated their preparatory camp on March 2, with key players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Mukesh Choudhary, and Prashant Solanki assembling at Chepauk. Skipper MS Dhoni recently joined the camp, while Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santer arrived in Chennai on Sunday.
However, CSK faced a setback as New Zealand opener Devon Conway is set to miss the early stages of the tournament due to thumb surgery, sustained during New Zealand’s T20I against Australia.

Kohli, who recently returned to India after the birth of his second child in London, is anticipated to participate in RCB’s upcoming promotional event ‘Unbox’ scheduled for March 19 in Bengaluru.
