India beat West Indies by 6 wickets in the 1st T20I at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer led India to win. Venkatesh Iyer finished the game by hitting a six. The debutant Ravi Bishnoi becomes the player of the match.

IND vs WI 1st T20I:- India beat West Indies by 6 wickets in the 1st T20I at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. With this win, India lead the three-match T20I series 1-0. The debutant Ravi Bishnoi becomes the player of the match as he took 2 wickets in 4 overs by giving just 17 runs. Roston Chase of West Indies also took 2 wickets by giving just 14 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. West Indies did a good start by scoring 44/1 in the powerplay. The debutant Ravi Bishnoi of India showed the bowling skills in his debut match. He took 2 wickets by giving just 17 runs in 4 overs. He dismissed Roston Chase and dangerous Rovman Powell.

Nicholas Pooran of West Indies hit a half-century in the match. He made 61 runs off 43 balls with the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes. Virat Kohli took his catch in the 18th over on the bowl of Harshal Patel. Captain Kieron Pollard started slow but afterwards he hit 2 boundaries and a six. He made 24* runs off 19 balls.

Alongside the debutant Ravi Bishnoi, Harshal Patel also took 2 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket each.

With the help of Nicholas Pooran’s half-century, West Indies finished its innings at 157/7 in 20 overs and gave the target of 158 runs to India.

Ishan Kishan came with Rohit Sharma for opening. Both the openers made the 64 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. Rohit Sharma made 40 runs off 19 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes. Roston Chase dismissed Rohit. Odean Smith took his brilliant catch from the boundary.

Roston Chase dismissed the Ishan Kishan (35 off 42) as well. Pollard took an easy catch of Virat Kohli (17 off 13 balls) from long-off on the bowl of Fabian Allen. Sheldon Cottrell dismissed Rishabh Pant (8 off 8 balls).

Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer led India to win. Suryakumar Yadav made 34* runs off 18 balls and Iyer made 24* off 13 balls. Venkatesh Iyer finished the game by hitting a six. India achieved the target (162/4) in 18.5 overs (7 balls left).

Now, the second T20I between India and West Indies will be played on february 18 at the same venue.
